SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective date: October 10, 2026

These terms apply to the text message (SMS) program operated by 3D Play Makers, LLC ("3D Play Makers," "we," "us"), 7904 NE 75th Ter, Kansas City, MO 64158. They supplement our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Program description

3D Play Makers sends transactional text messages only to customers who have asked to receive them. These messages are about orders, repairs, and appointments you have with us:

  • Order confirmations and digital receipts for in-store, event, and online purchases
  • Shipping notifications with tracking numbers
  • 3D printer repair status updates (for example: printer received, quote ready, repair complete, ready for pickup)
  • Appointment reminders for repair drop-offs, house calls, and order pickups

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

2. How you opt in

You will only receive text messages from us if you opt in using one of these methods. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

  1. Text updates signup form at the top of this page (sign up), online or in person: at our checkout counter, repair counter and event booth you can use this same form on our customer tablet, or scan the QR code on our counter sign (view the sign) to open it on your own phone. You enter your own name and mobile number and check a box (it is never pre-checked) that reads:
    "Yes, text me updates about my orders, repairs and appointments from 3D Play Makers at the number above. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not required to purchase. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."
  2. Repair request form on our 3D printer repair page: enter your mobile number and check the optional box (never pre-checked) with the same wording shown above.

We do not sign anyone up based on verbal agreement, or because a phone number was given at checkout or on a repair order. You must complete one of the forms above yourself. Our counter sign reads:

"Want text updates? Scan the code to sign up, or use our counter tablet. We'll text you about your order, shipping, repair, or appointment. 3D Play Makers sends order, shipping, repair & appointment texts only. No marketing. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not required to purchase. Texts are sent from (816) 237-5233."

After you opt in, you will receive a confirmation text: "3D Play Makers: You're signed up for order, repair & appointment text updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

3. Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your orders, repairs, and appointments with us. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

4. How to opt out

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further texts unless you opt in again. If you previously replied STOP and want texts again, reply START to (816) 237-5233; signing up on a form alone cannot restore delivery to a number that opted out. You can also contact us for help with your subscription.

6. Carrier disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier.

7. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. We use your mobile number only to send the messages described above. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
